Privacy Policy

What we collect, what we do not, and who else is involved when you use this site.

Last updated September 1, 2026

The short version

Peel & Flame does not have accounts, a newsletter, a shop or a comments section. There is nothing to log into and nothing to subscribe to. The only personal information we ever receive is what you type into the contact form, and the only tracking is anonymous analytics.

Who we are

Peel & Flame is operated by Slate Mill Group. For anything in this policy, write to info@peelandflame.com.

What we collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which recommendations readers find useful. It collects the usual anonymous, aggregate information: pages viewed, approximate location at country or region level, device type, browser and referring site.

We also record an event when a reader clicks a buy link. That event records the merchant, the destination and the page it came from - not who you are. It exists because it is the only way for us to know which recommendations are actually useful.

Google Analytics sets cookies. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on, with your browser's cookie controls, or with any standard content blocker - the site works normally either way.

The contact form

If you use it, we receive your name, your email address, the topic you chose and your message. We use that to reply to you and for nothing else. It is not added to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list, and it is not sold or shared.

The form is delivered by Microsoft Graph to our own mailbox. Messages are kept as long as they are useful for correspondence and correction records, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Anti-spam

The contact form uses a hidden field that real visitors never see, a check on how long the form was open, and a limit on submissions per IP address per hour. Your IP address is used in memory for that rate limit and is not stored in a database or logged with your message.

Server logs

Our host, Vercel, keeps standard request logs for security and reliability. Those are Vercel's under their own privacy terms.

What we do not collect

  • No accounts, passwords or profiles - there is nothing to sign up for.
  • No newsletter list.
  • No payment information. We sell nothing.
  • No advertising or retargeting pixels, and no ad network.
  • No cross-site tracking of our own.
  • No sale or sharing of personal information with anyone, for any purpose.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links. When you follow one, the retailer knows you arrived from this site and may set its own cookies to attribute a purchase. That process is theirs and is governed by their privacy policy, not ours - we never receive your name, your address, your payment details or what you bought.

Every commercial link passes through an internal redirect on this domain before going to the retailer. That redirect exists so destinations stay changeable in one place; it does not store anything about you. The full disclosure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to object to how it is used. In practice, for this site, that will almost always mean a contact form message.

Write to info@peelandflame.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information through the contact form, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, so the date is the record.
