1. Agreement

By using Peel & Flame you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. Peel & Flame is operated by Slate Mill Group.

2. What this site is

An independent publication about pizza equipment. Its content is editorial opinion and analysis, built from publicly published specifications and from arithmetic we perform on those specifications and show in full on the methodology page.

It is not product testing. We have not used, owned, baked on or physically handled any product described here, and every page says so. Nothing on this site should be read as a report of hands-on experience.

3. Accuracy, and its limits

We work carefully. Specifications are cited to the page they came from, derived figures show their working, and the assumptions inside our thermal model are stated openly so you can challenge them.

Even so: manufacturers change specifications without notice, retailer listings contain errors, published material constants are ranges rather than exact values, and our own arithmetic can be wrong. Content is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Verify anything that matters against the manufacturer's current documentation before you rely on it.

If you find an error, tell us at info@peelandflame.com. We respond within five business days and correct confirmed errors with a dated note on the page.

4. Safety

This site discusses hot ovens, heavy plates of steel, ceramics that can fracture, and outdoor appliances running past 900 F. You are responsible for your own safety and for following the instructions supplied with your own equipment.

Where our guidance and a manufacturer's instructions differ, follow the manufacturer. They know their product and they carry the liability for it.

Anything here that touches food handling or storage is general information and not food-safety advice for a commercial setting.

5. Affiliate links

Some links here are affiliate links and we earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. Full disclosure.

We are not the seller. Any purchase you make is a contract between you and that retailer, governed by their terms, and questions about price, availability, shipping, returns, warranty or product condition go to them. We have no role in the transaction and cannot resolve it.

6. Prices and availability

Where a price appears it comes from a live data source and is accurate only at the moment it was retrieved. Prices and availability change constantly, and the price shown on the retailer's own page at the time of purchase is the one that applies.

7. Third-party links

We link to manufacturers, retailers and reference sources so you can check our figures. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or practices.

8. Intellectual property

Text, arithmetic, tables and page structure on this site are the property of Slate Mill Group unless stated otherwise. Photography is licensed stock used under the terms of its license. Product names, brands and trademarks belong to their respective owners and appear here descriptively and nominatively.

You may quote short passages with attribution and a link. You may not republish substantial portions of this site, or use its content to train a model in a way that reproduces it verbatim, without permission.

9. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it in a way that degrades it for other readers, misuse the contact form, or use the site for anything unlawful.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slate Mill Group is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of this site or from reliance on its content - including damage to equipment, unsatisfactory results, or losses arising from a purchase made through a link here.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page records when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
